During a conversation with a lecturer, she pointed out that it seemed like I was being excluded from my own story. This insight was enlightening, leading me to realize that the more I tried to justify myself, the more material I provided for the opposing side to manipulate against me. When facing coercive control as a solitary individual without support, it becomes challenging to defend oneself.
